DTS (Discipleship Training School) is an exciting 5 month program where you will grow closer to Christ, experience different cultures, and live in a dynamic community!
Prairie-to-Pacific DTS
Begin in the Prairies and end in the Pacific! More specifically, ending in the beautiful islands of FIJI!
Our 5 month DTS will begin at our base in the prairies of Steinbach, Manitoba for compelling teachings from our speakers for 12 weeks. We have a special focus on Island culture and First Nations culture since the outreach will be split to take place in both settings. You will spend 4-5 weeks in Fiji and 3-4 weeks locally in Manitoba for an outreach you will never forget.
Items to bring:
- Bible
- A large camping backpack
- Sleeping bag
- Pillow
- Passport
Remember to be prepared to be challenged spiritually, mentally, and physically since our DTS is full of adventure!
Learn Together in the Classroom for 12 Weeks
During our lecture phase from compelling speakers on topics like:
Hearing God’s Voice
The Father Heart of God
Worship
Relationships
The Nature and Character of Christ
Inductive Bible Study
Cultural Redemption
and much more

After spending time in the classroom and participating in regular activities such as worship, prayer and intercession, we then head out (Outreach Phase) for 8 weeks to put into practice what we have learned!
DTS is certified through University of the Nations and you will receive a certificate upon completion of the course that can be used towards a degree program if you choose to pursue that option. DTS is the prerequisite for not only becoming YWAM staff, but also for YWAM’s second level training.
